The Leftists undermine Austria
Today I’ve been proven both right and wrong about Austria, the country where I lived for two and a half years during my studies. My friends there had a good laugh at my expense when Britain passed the bill to allow homosexual marriages. I was, of course, deeply embarrassed, but warned them: what happens in Britain will happen here in years to come. Well, they’re not laughing today.
I said that Austria was about twenty years behind Britain in the transition from traditional values to the neo-Marxist filth that passes for the morality of the New Left. I therefore calculated that it would take over a decade to catch up to Britain in terms of corruption and degeneracy. I was wrong, very wrong.
Yesterday, parliament passed the bill to allow homosexual marriages, but thankfully stopped short at allowing homosexual couples to adopt children. There are ominous signs that this is merely a reprieve, though, with the Green Party saying that it was still “a second-class partnership and the SPÖ’s (Sozialdemokratische Partei Österreichs – Social Democratic Party of Austria) Minister for Women Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek claiming that the bill “didn’t go far enough”. That’s right, Austria has its very own Harriett Harman.
One does not need to go into a lengthy discourse about why homosexual marriages are morally wrong: suffice to say that the primary function of marriage was to provide the foundations of the most stable unit available for the creation of a family. It has also traditionally been in Britain a contract not just between man and wife, but also one with God. As homosexual couples cannot have children without external help and a turkey baster and, despite Rowan William's claims to the contrary, are forbidden marriage under Judeo-Christian law, there is really no need for them to pervert the sanctity of marriage, other than for their own egotism.
The one thing that has disappointed me about the whole affair in Austria, though, is the betrayal of the people by the BZÖ (Bündnis Zukunft Österreich – Alliance for the Future of Austria). The BZÖ was formed by the liberal members of the FPÖ after the FPÖ (Freiheitspartei Österreich – Austrian Freedom Party) fragmented in 2005, but generally was seen to hold many of the same nationalistic and conservative policies and were considered by the press as “far right”. While the members of the FPÖ all voted against reform, three out of the BZÖ ministers present voted for the change.
This is, indeed, happening all over Europe. Fake nationalist and conservative parties are duping voters into voting for them and genuine nationalist parties are being infiltrated by liberals. In France, Philippe de Villiers’ so-called euro-sceptical party le Mouvement pour la France is now under Sarkozy’s umbrella. Many people voted for de Villiers because the mainstream media carried out their character assassinations on Jean-Marie Le Pen.
We know, of course, that democracy has been undermined and perhaps even killed off in Europe, the very continent whence such a noble concept of governance sprang. But next year, we have perhaps a last throw of the dice to preserve it. I do hope, come next year’s election, people considering the fake party UKIP as an option will remember this. The BNP is the only party committed to preserving the traditions and values of Britain.
