Muslims-praying

What is Jihad?

There seems to be a bit of confusion over what exactly IS referred to by the word ‘Jihad’.

Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and almost every Muslim spokesman tells us that jihad means a ‘peaceful inner struggle’. And while it seems almost improbable that the above personages would be telling the truth, they are.

Jihad DOES mean peaceful inner struggle. The people who tell us this are not exactly lying by their words, but they are certainly lying by omission. If this is more out of ignorance or cunning is of course impossible to say.

But the idea that the ‘moderate’ Muslims who get their heads on the television and spout this line again and again are completely ignorant about the central tenet of their faith is perhaps a little hard to swallow.

There are more than 150 references to ‘Jihad’ in the Koran, and hundreds, if not thousands of mentions in the Hadith [traditions of the prophet, equivalent to the Jewish Talmud or the Pauline gospels in Christianity].

It is the central pole around which the rest of Islam revolves. And in the vast majority of cases it is indeed supposed to be non violent [to a certain degree].

What the talking heads on the tube don’t tell you of course is that there are many different kinds of jihad. Anyone with a Koran and a nice yellow highlighter could figure this out in half an hour, but sadly no-one in the government of the United Kingdom seems to have found the time to do this, probably all those hours tallying up their expenses.

Here are the main forms that jihad [which in Arabic means ‘struggle’] takes.

The inner Jihad: Taken by every Muslim on the planet, this is the struggle within ones self to follow and observe the laws passed down to man by Allah in the Koran.

The Jihad of Knowledge: Taken by scholars, the struggle within ones own mind to take on the wisdom from the Koran [or if more liberally interpreted from other sources].

The Jihad of the tongue: Taken by those who seek to convert unbelievers to the light of Allah and his prophet. Also by those who seek to return the faithful to proper practice of Islam, the funding of mosques and schools all over the world by the Saudi government is a part of this Jihad. All Imams and Islamic teachers of other kinds partake in this struggle as well.

The Jihad of actions: The struggle taken by those who go on the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. Also those who give the Zakat [charity] to the poor or who through the proper channels fund those fighting in the name of Islam.

The Holy war: Also known as Kutila fi Sabillillah, the most important type of jihad. Held to be an obligation by all males of fighting age that if Muslim lands or Muslims themselves are under threat they must go to arms, and they must keep themselves trained to be able to do so.

Force is to be avoided, according to scripture unless absolutely needed. It is far better to threaten an enemy of Islam into submission than to blow them up [enemies who have submitted can be a source of funds and converts]. If force is used it is to be used only in proportion to the strength of the enemy, sadly in the case of any nuclear armed state [Britain for example] this would sanction the use of atomic weapons.

If a Muslim woman is raped or removed from her family on the other side of the world it is the obligation of a Muslim male to take up arms and avenge the insult. The fact that many do not says more about the ties of material possessions in the modern world as opposed to the ties of faith. But enough do, and enough is, by definition, all that is needed.

Before preparing for the armed jihad a man must prepare himself. First and foremost he must prepare himself spiritually. With faith, it is said in the scriptures, a small army can defeat foes many times its own size.

Jihad today

The above is jihad as spoken and explained by Muslims to Muslims. It is the reality and not a fantasy created by those who wish to avoid provoking reaction in the communities that have been flooded by Islamic colonists.

The Koran for all true Muslims is the word of God, Which means for a believing Muslim male Jihad is an obligation to God.

The triggers that set each individual Muslim on the path of armed struggle are differing, complex and many. Some went because Iraq was invaded; some went because the Albanians invaded Serbia. Some will see the fact of the very existence of non-Muslims as an affront to God which cannot be allowed. Others will see only a direct attack on their own community in the country which they are living to be a reason to take up the armed jihad.

And there are many Muslim males in their communities who do not believe this message and are simply culturally attached to it. These are the ones who deal drugs, drink and rape young girls from other communities. They are also the ones who stay at home, work hard and look after their families; their ever growing families.

So while of course most Muslims do not go wild with an axe the moment things do not go their way, you never know which one will. Will it be the quiet one you have worked with for years who always finds the time to exchange a few friendly words over the lunch room table? Will it be the drinking, whoring misanthrope who decides to make up for a life of sin with an explosive run at paradise? Will it be the bearded ranter or the smiling son of the corner shop owner?

Who knows what lies in the hearts of men? But more importantly, who wants to take risks that we do not need to?

In short, what rational logical sane person, in possession of all the facts, would want to continue Islamic immigration?
