'Manifest Destiny' or the Forces of Globalisation


An ancient people are living in the homelands of their ancestors. Then there is an invasion of aliens. The aliens come in such numbers and breed so fast that they are able to dispossess the original people and to  drive them into certain areas. This process is encouraged by the political class who say that it is 'Manifest Destiny.' The progress of civilisation through the advance of science, technology and social and economic organisation is such, they say, that it is both inevitable and right. 

So far we could be talking about the invasion of Britain in a few decades from now, if mass immigration continues. 'Manifest Destiny' in this context is, of course, Globalisation and the 'Progress' to a nightmare world of unified, undifferentiated humanity envisioned by'Progressives,' with multiculturalism and multiracialism as a stage on the way.

But here we must spill the beans. As you have no doubt already surmised, the picture that has been painted is not of course of the native British, but of the Native Americans of the USA.  'Manifest Destiny' was the name given to the belief (in reality a self-serving excuse)  in the 19th Century USA that the Whites living on the Eastern seaboard of the United States and flooding into the country through immigration ports had the right (as the coiner of the term, John O'sullivan put it) to 'overspread the whole of the Continent which Providence has given us.'        

The idea of 'Manifest Destiny' has and had a religious basis which cloaked simple greed for other people's land, resources and rights, regardless of the effects on those people. And the same may be said for Globalisation. Globalisation shares with 'Manifest Destiny' the false assumption that because it is driven by by powerful  forces, it is both necessary and right.  Globalisation too  cloaks a drive for profit, personal and corporate, in the mantle of of an idealistic faith in an ultimate Utopia which can be called religious or quasi-relgious.

Indeed it is not too much to say that the terms 'Manifest Destiny' and Globalisation are pretty much interchangeable, right down to the belief that the dispossessed native peoples are inferior in some way and deserve to be dispossed. In the eyes of the Left, the white race is  uniquely evil and racist, while Globalising Cameroons think that the Native British are not as hard - working, as cheap or as flexible as immigrants who are therefore entitled to move in and take their jobs at lower rates of pay than would otherwise obtain, in a World viewed as being controlled ultimately by economic forces and nothing else.


Spot the Difference

Amost interchangeable but not entirely, Because there is a significant difference. Whereas Globalisation entails the complete disappearance of the British as a race and nation and any talk of native British ancestry or of the native British having any special rights in their own country is denounced as 'racist,' the Native Americans have been encouraged to hang on to their racial identity, culture and ways of life in their own restricted areas or 'reservations.' When President Obama was given the news of the shootings at Fort Hood, he was attending a meeting of all the accredited tribes and promised continued support.

The US government, whose present-day attititudes to Native Americans are fully in accord with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples gives certain rights, such as scholarshps to individuals who possess at least one quarter Native American blood and who are enrolled in a recognised tribe. The tribes themselves have their own rules as to membership, all based on blood descent, and have recently taken to DNA testing to ensure certainty in this respect. 

Spot the difference? Why yes, it is our ever- present enemy, double standards again. The Liberal- Left consider it a crime of oppression for Whites to to have dispossessed Native Americans, shedding tears over such Hollywood offerings as 'Soldier Blue' and 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.' They think it right to make amends by granting special rights to the descendents by blood of the Native American tribes (and so it is) including the right to govern themselves in their own areas. All this notwithstanding that the Native Americans tribes historically fought and dispossessed each other of their respective traditional areas and also possessed negro slaves, thus demonstrating no superior virtue or worth when it came to territorial or other rights.

But Left-Liberals think it far from being all right to suggest that to dispossess the Native British is also a crime. Indeed the very idea of them resisting encroachment on the homeland of their ancestors by millions of aliens at the behest of the political class is denounced as 'racist; ie on a par (it is evilly suggested) with herding millions of innocents into gas chambers. And it is 'UnChristian' according to the Anglican Church.

The tortured thinking and self-hatred of Left-Liberals is truly breathtaking is it not. And these people flatter themselves that they are more intelligent, educated and reasonable than we are!!
