News reaches me that my Elected Assembly Member John Griffiths is about as committed to democracy as Pol Pot.

In 1997 by a handful of votes and through interference with the postal votes of several hundered 'NO' voters the Welsh Assembly was born, a body about which the only GOOD thing that can be said is that it castrated Peter Hain (in the political sense) by taking from him many of the decisions his predecessors in the post of Secretary of State For Wales in the Westminster Parliament enjoyed.

In 2006 the buggers in the Cardiff Hot Air Pit voted themselves an oncrease in powers and slid some nice new jobs for the boys under the carpet including the strangely named post of "Counsel General" a job currently enjoyed - along with some gfat inflated salary no doubt - by the Assembly Member for Newport East John Griffiths.

Griffiths has now shown his position as the second to last No Platform Dinosaur in the principality by abusing his position as Chief Legal Adviser to the Welsh Assembly Government by publicly calling for all parties in wales to refuse to take part in election hustings in which we take part.

All the more time for me to present our policies then.

Last week our Regional Adviser asked me to find a subject on which to write to the media which I could use to launch myself as a Prospective Parliamentary Canddiate.

I confess to having hunted high and low for a subject upon which to make my feelings known whish would serve as the launch vehicle. But no longer.

For when one's own elected representative, a man who takes the job of Chief Legal Advisor to the body at whose table he sits as MY representative denies me and my party the means to present my candidature, then he hands me the subject upon which to write announcing that candidature on a plate. Along with his own head.

See you at the hustings, John.

And I can't wait for the 2011 Welsh Assembly Elections. What will you do when my name appears against yours on the same ballot paper ?
