I COULD have used a url to ConservativeHome to bring you the above, as they appear to have a copy of the same pic physically on their website, but I prefer to risk being shot down as a 'leecher' of the Daily Mail's bandwidth than have the site taken down as a violator of the DMCA (!)

And anyway, it is to the Daily Mail Online that I must tip my hat for doing my job for me. Melanie Philips put it very nicely with the headline "For Sheer Gall, Brown posing as the Saviour of the Middle Class takes the Mouldy Buscuit".

Gordon "IR35"and "S660" Brown, Gordon "The Destroyer Of Pensions" Brown, Gordon "The Destroyer Of Our Banking System" Brown has the utter bare-arsed cheek to tell some Radio 4 Reporter that only he can save the British Middle Class. And for some inexplicable reason the Radio 4 Man kept a straight face. words fail me. They absolutely fail me. In exactly the same way that his words will utterly fail to deceive the very people Brown's pathetic excuse of a strapline is trying to deceive.

But while I am handing out the bouquets I have another for Melanie Phillips. Her Radio 4 Two Parter "In Search Of The British Work Ethic" has done our party an enormous favour although she seems not to have noticed. Did any of you listen to it ?

In her first programme on January 4th she went out to show how this Government has relentlessly scuppered the ability of our young people to follow Tebbit's urging to get on their bikes, cars buses or trains to look for work. MOBILITY or rather the utter lack of it seems to be a high factor in why some of the NEET's (a nifty term coined to describe those Not In Employment Education or Training) are still NEET. Yet this govenment continues to relentlessly destroy public transport, relentlessly pursues european directives making private motorcycle ownership and use harder and more expensive and private car use beyond the reach of those seeking work. When my brother was 17 he shelled out for a 250cc Yamaha to get his arse back and forth to work in the industry he had an apprenticeship in. Just as his and my great uncles had shelled out for  a Triumph and a James 125 to get to the apprenticeships they had acquired on leaving school. Perhaps melanie Phillips should have spent some time looking ijnto the effect Britains relentless subservence to the Brussels Second and Third  foray into pissing on our country's ability to set its own driving licence standards and the relentless taxation of the motorist and public transport user alike has forced upon us a reduction in our ability to get out to work and still have cash left over from our toil when we get home.

But her second programme on the 11th was even better. Not content with slagging off the indigenous brit for their workshy ways she went out into the catering establishments of London to find ethnics slavng away at the restaurant sink. And forst up on her list of shining examples was a chap who studied by day to get his MBA and washed dishes by night to get some money to pay his way. Causing her to ask him why on earth he was bothering to do this given that there wereall these benefits he could claim instead, and be better off.

Except what Melanie forgot to point out was that in the very opening seconds of that interview she introduced this industrious chappie as an overseas student here to study for an academic qualification. And that means his VISA to BE in this country FORBADE him the right to work, and DENIED him any such benefits.

Yes, she was interviweing and lauding and applauding one of this coutnry'smany ILLEGAL OVERSEAS WORKERS who by committing this CRIME was in fact rescinding his right to even BE in this country.

Nice One, Melanie. Remind me to find this bloke and put his face on MY election poster in a month or so.
