You know what I think about Blogs - I wanted to see more of them and I would ideally have liked to have seen them all proudly flying BNP banners and all linking to each other but that did not happen.

Oh well, not everyone can have my foresight so we will leave it at that - for now.  I am sure we will return to the subject some time down the road.

Meanwhile check out this story here and see just effective a small local blog can be.

Blogger Niall Connolly has caused a Town council in Somerton to disband or as good as.  Eleven out of the 15 members resigned after being subjected to three years of online scrutiny by his site.  Pigs with their snouts in the trough or people with things to hide do not like people watching them.

Mr Connolly said yesterday: “My blog is completely fact-based. I started it because I wanted to circumvent councillors’ control of all the information the people of Somerton hear.

“I feel as though I have a moral commitment to the people here. I have no political agenda and hate all politicians with equal measure.

“Here we have a cosy group of people who are so used to residents taking them at face value that when they are challenged they can’t take it.

Of course there is a price all bloggers have to risk paying and Mr Connolly's home has had bricks thrown through his windows and a car of the same make, model and colour as his own  was torched.

If one small blog can bite that hard then imagine what a pack of them could do.

NOW this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back—
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.
