Little did I realise that when I left a personal comment on the South Wales Evening Post on the 10th of September 2009 on a seperate article entitled "Concern as drug deaths quadruple"
The British National Party realise the problems that the drug trade has inflicted on our people and our country and are prepared to confront the problem "head on."that six days later the same newspapers website would contain an article ( without consulting me to clarify my comments ) entitled 'We should hang evil drug dealers on live television' - BNP member.
When we come to power we would embark on an unprecedented program of "Drug Rehabilitation." This program would be available to everyone affected by this evil.
We have for a long time advocated in our manifesto that where appropriate the "Death Penalty" would be made available as an option to judges.
This would be included for the "Evil Scum" who peddle this misery on our streets for their own profit.
Personally I would like to see the first three pushers/dealers hung in front of the cameras on national TV.
I wonder how many of these "Suppliers of Death and Misery" would be out there the following day plying their trade ?
Not many I guess !
As you can see from my comment, it was made perfectly clear that the statement I made was my own PERSONAL OPINION and not British National Party policy.
It is also worth pointing out, that the article then printed on the Evening Post Website also omitted to point out the very positive statement of support in my favour, from a former Labour Llanelli Mayor, Councillor Hubert Hitchman, who said: "I'm all for the death penalty. It may sound a bit extreme but those are my views. We are too soft on them"
I only hope, that the " wooly headed, fuzzy brained " executives of Llanelli Labour Party Politburo have not "castrated " Councillor Hitchman for having the temerity to agree with the BNP.
Well we all live and learn but I am in no doubt that this was a pathetic attempt by a state controlled newspaper that is owned by the Daily Mail to attack the BNP in another desperate attempt to halt the vast support and progress that we as a party continue to make hour by hour and day by day.
However, at least my comment and The Evening Post article has not only reopened the debate on " Capital Punishment " but has also brought the "evils of the drugs trade and the tragic and needless loss of life" once again to the fore.
It is also interesting to note that the "professional agitators" who follow me around the comment sections and twist my words are members of the Socialist Worker Party controlled UAF.
The UAF is the same organisation that is supported by the likes of Peter Hain and David Cameron and I wonder how these men can support such an organisation when one of the UAF lead figures is a "violent heroin injecting junkie" named Pete Doherty?
Now there is no doubt in my mind that the drug problem in this country has to be tackled "Head On" and that capital punishment should be introduced as an option to judges as a deterrent but if the deterrent is ignored, then we have to have the will to carry it out.
With a strong enough deterrent, I believe that the tragic death of the likes of Leah Betts (who's parents bravely agreed to publish her photograph) will become a thing of the past.
We must also remember that the Drugs Epidemic in our country has many other side effect that can be equally devastating. Burglary, prostitution, shop lifting and muggings can all be strongly linked to the drugs trade. Taking away the drugs supply and having a proper rehabilitation program will also result in a reduction in crime and severely limit the amount of funding that Al Qaeda receives.
Looking at the comments under a previous article on this subject on The Green Arrow site, they seem to be split 50/50 over my choice of wording but with majority support for severe penalties for drug dealers who are responsible for the deaths of so many young people and many more ruined lives. I appreciate the honesty of those comments both for and against.
Locally, people that I know and some that I had never met before previously, have been very generous in expressing their support for my stance on capital punishment and everyone of them have said that they have had enough of the soft culture that we live in and everyone of them are looking for a party that will be tough on crime.
Everyone now knows that only the British National Party can and will give them what they want.
Councillor Kevin Edwards BNP
