Margaret Hodge offers voters in Barking

Well for once I am in agreement with Margaret Hodge, sorry I meant Lady Hodge (nee Oppenhimer) who for once let the truth slip from her poisonous mouth when replying to a  bus driver she was speaking to in Barking who said that he drove a bus and and was angry that no one on it ever speaks English any more.

Back came the poison dwarf with "Well they all should speak English".  Quite correct.  If you are an immigrant to Our Country who has been granted the special privilege of being allowed to live here, you should make the effort to learn and speak Our Language.  Personally I would make immigrants take a test after five years and if they still did not speak our language I would have them deported.  How can you integrate with the true British People if you do not or cannot be bothered to speak their  language?

And in all fairness to Lady Hodge, she and her parents made the effort to learn our language when they came and accepted the hospitably of the British People in allowing them to emigrate here  from Egypt, so she had every right to say what she said.  Being Jewish, I think leaving Islamic Egypt was a pretty wise move on the part of the Oppenhimer family.  Jews are not moslems favourite race by a long chalk.

Now being Jewish is sometimes quite useful for a politician and Margaret uses this old but worn weapon well.  When attacking the British National Party she plays the "persecution" card in two ways. In the first she accuses the BNP of being Nazis who hate Jews and then in another play she accuses the BNP of pointing out that she is a Jewish immigrant to Our Country.  To be honest who cares what race or religion she is.  She would still be a poison dwarf if she had been born and bred within the sounds of the Bow Bells.

But enough praise on Margaret over language because Margaret, who has the skin of a rhinoceros(and it shows) as gone squealing like a stuck pig wearing lipstick to the police, complaining that the BNP have been saying nasty things about her.

The Met police, awakened from their slumbers have confirmed it is looking into her complaints but I would suggest if they wanted to really investigate someone or something, then it should be Hodge they should be questioning.  Remember it was Hodge who was running Islington Council at the time, repeatedly refused to investigate child abuse in the council's children's homes.
