Is he really the best man for the job?

I cannot help but wonder what is wrong with the old guard conservative party, when they let an oily snake oil salesman like David Cameron tell them just whom they can and cannot choose to be their candidates in the general election.

Take the "A List" candidate Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, who is also famous for being The Only Black Farmer in the UK (actually I think there might be 2) and who is the tory candidate for Bradford on Avon.

Jones, who makes a living by making his race an issue, in promoting The Black Farmer products is also infamous now for preventing a BNP Councillor speaking at a hustings debate, saying he did not want the debate to be about race.

In fact Jones was the only one to mention race.  No one cares what colour he is except of course, David Cameron who is desperate to have black MPs regardless of how inept or unsuitable they are and Jones is certainly unsuitable despite his success in using his colour to sell his sausages.

Jones cheerfully admits to constantly playing traunt from school and being extremely disruptive when he did bother to turn up for lessons.  One wonders if it was his constant truancy that resulted in him being barely able to read or write rather than having the dyslexia he claims to have.

Showing the same inability to control his behaviour when he joined the army, he was discharged within a year for his inability to accept discipline and it would be interesting to view his discharge papers.  My experience of life is that before you can give orders you must learn to take orders.  Jones has shown that he cannot.

Finally one must question Jones's intelligence.  Anyone who races down the inside lane of a motorway late at night in pouring rain and gusting winds at a minimum speed of 70mph is clearly not that bright.  And that act of madness caused him to kill a woman who had stepped from a vehicle parked on the hard shoulder.

There is something in Jones explanation of events that does not ring true to me but that is just my own opinion and we must give him the benefit of doubt.

Now then, would one of you old guard conservatives, who still believes that a candidate should be selected because he is the best man or woman for the job and not because of his skin colour, explain to simple old me just what attributes Jones has besides being black.
