Are we at the beginning of the Post PC Era?
This was the thought that started these posts off and in fact it is a wider view than just 'Why you should consider a Mac'.
Sales of Desktop Windows PC computers are down, Mac desktops are holding their own, Windows laptop sales are down, Mac laptop sales have increased but the real boom in sales are for 'smart phones' and touch tablets (at the moment the iPad) Netbook sales have crashed after the release of the iPad.
On the smart phone the iPhone has been the top seller ever since it went on sale until recently when the combined sales from many manufactures for Android powered phones (Android is the operating system, think of it like Windows or perhaps Linux would be a better analogy) started to out sell it in the USA. 71% of all smart phones in Japan are iPhones.
For many people owning a computer is just for 4 or 5 things, email, web browsing, storage of photos, music and videos, contacts and calendars, video, voice and text chat. Some others will add letter writing and spreadsheets.
You can do all those things on a smart phone and while on the move. Don't like the small screen then you can do all of those on a touch tablet. Need a full size keyboard, you can have one too which in the case of the iPad holds the screen up so you can see it better while charging the iPad.

Hello my friends, I have been asked to put forward my thoughts and my reasons why I use an Apple Mac and why I think it would be a good idea to switch especially for activists and organisers.
What computer system you use can be a very emotive subject and to tell you the truth I feel like I am jumping into a pit of vipers by doing this. Some very computer savvy people out there will have strong views and for them I say carry on with what works for you. But in my immediate family I have 7 computer users, 2 gamers, 4 home users and me the professional designer.

Good morning kinsfolk,
Boy you have to have your eyes all over.
Geert Wilders, who has said some rather bad things about the BNP, and I quote from The First Post web site, “… and the BNP, which he said was "racist" and "not my party". but works hard for Holland has said he intends to bring his PVV party to 5 other European countries, Britain included.
Now he may have good intentions but I say "Thanks, but no thanks". I don't want a knight in shining armour from over the seas to rescue Britain, we already have our own hero thanks, his name is Nick Griffin MEP!

Welcome to all new members over the last two years.
Unfortunately it has come to my attention that for whatever reason many new members have not been contacted as yet. So I would just like to reassure you that you have not been forgotten and to open up a temporary way in which you can make contact with other BNP members.
First my story, yes that's me above in the photo, when I was thinking of joining I emailed GA and he kindly lead me in finding out the truth and ultimately to joining the BNP.
I used GA and his contacts as my contact with the BNP and now consider those contacts among my friends. I also now have a great organiser back in the UK whom I have telephoned even though I am in Japan, sometimes you have to make the contact, it paid off for me I really enjoy the very infrequent chats I have with him.

Update:
I few people I have spoken to think that the films below have been made up by me to make a point. No they are genuine films, please click the title link to view the trailers.
While browsing the iTunes film trailers I noticed three full length documentaries that it may be good to promote and to watch.
Freakonomics

Alex Gibney (Enron:The Smartest Guys in the Room, Casino Jack and the United States of Money) delivers a visually arresting look at the crumbling facade of Sumo wrestling and exposes searing and violent truths about this ancient and revered sport. Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) offers up a buoyant and revealing angle on the repercussions of baby names. Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp) balance levity and candor with their eye-opening profile of underachieving kids incentivized to learn with cold hard cash. Finally, Eugene Jarecki, who brought us the unforgettably powerful Why We Fight, investigates an unsettling theory to explain why crime rates dramatically dropped in the early 90s. Seth Gordon (The King of Kong) weaves the pieces together with brisk interludes, providing context and commentary from the authors. Freakonomics exposes the hidden side of everything, debunking conventional wisdom, and revealing what answers may come if one just asks the right questions.

When GA and I had a little chat the other day he said he had noticed that we are now getting many visitors using the iPhone® and/or iPod Touch®. So with these visitors in mind I have created an icon for the Home Screen. To use this all you have to do is when reading the Green Arrow site tap the + sign at the bottom of the screen to add a bookmark and choose 'Add to Home Screen'. You will then be able to edit the icon name as you like, then tap 'Add' in the top right to add the icon and link to your Home Screen like above. Tapping the icon will take you straight to the Green Arrow site in Safari.
If you find it hard to read the site's news articles on the full site remember that Safari can read RSS feeds too. So all you need to do is scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap the RSS logo (the little orange dot with lines radiating off to the top right) and the articles will load in the RSS reader with larger text but no images.
Please tell us about your iPhone or iPod experiences reading the site? Would you like an iPhone App to read the articles? Would you like an iPhone friendly page?
We will use your comments to guide us in what we can do or answer some of you iOS related problems.
BTW thanks for joining us while your on the move!

Google have been found out extracting data from unprotected WiFi with their Street View Cars.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8684110.stm
Take a read of the BBC report than ask yourself 'How safe is my computer set up?'.
Quite clearly Google have broken many privacy and data protection laws, either as they claim by mistake or by intention for their own use or on the behave of another organisation.
Will anything be done about it? I doubt it.
Listen carefully to Peter Barron of Google's answer, "We won't be collecting WiFi data using the Street View Cars in the future", I always love the way people quantify what they say and I have learnt to 'read between the lines' what he is saying is, we won't use the Street View Cars but we may use any other means we can to do this in the future if we wish.
One question is though could we be making it easy for this data to be collected?
