When the authors of Mills and Boon stories write to a formula, they find there are a finite number of plots they can employ. The same applies to all fiction writers. The names may change but the plots are repeated, though they may differ subtly, but nevertheless they are still repeated. Which brings me to the accepted notion that history repeats itself? We have seen despots, dictators and madmen slide into oblivion, we have seen crooked and corrupt governments come and go. We have seen great Empires crumble and dynasties disappear. It is history repeating itself.

Today we live in troubled times but troubled times are not the reserve of modern day Britain or indeed the whole of Europe. All throughout history people have experienced troubled times to varying degrees. If we accept the premise that our politicians in Westminster are no more or less corrupt than those of a number of South American governments the difference being our government don't kill its opponents or indulge in military coups and wholesale killing, but where monetary gain, social standing and the rigging of elections is the driving force for holding onto power, I see little difference.

The people of this country do not understand they live under a benign dictatorship, there are three rules that define a country under dictatorship, one being a country being ruled by a one party state, or a government being controlled by one person or by a small group of people.

The number of politicians sitting in Westminster compared to the rest of the population a relatively small group of people. It is an cruel illusion when the people go to the ballot box hoping that by removing a corrupt and incompetent government it will bring change if the political party they have selected from the comparatively small group of people have the exact same political aims and identical political ideologies. You will note when touting for your vote the promises of change by our two party political system are to all intents and purposes identical, in truth we have a one party state, any differences are cosmetic so as to confuse the people that there is any difference at all. It is a one party system, which is defined as a dictatorship.

If you find the word dictatorship distasteful perhaps you might accept our present government as being a Statist Government.

A statist government is a government which is driven by a political philosophy or ideology that holds that sovereignty is vested NOT in the people but in the national state, and that all individuals and associations exist only to enhance the power, the prestige, and the well-being of the state.

The fascist concept of statism
, which as seen as synonymous with the concept of nation, and corporatism repudiates individualism and exalts the nation as an organic body headed by the Supreme Leader and nurtured by unity, force, and discipline. In Labour’s case the forced philosophy or ideology is Multiculturalism. In any case our two party political systems bear little resemblance to a democratic government.

Ask your local member if their political party will give the people a referendum on withdrawing or staying in Europe, ask them what plans they have to stop the rampant, non-stop, overwhelming, uncontrolled immigration into this country, ask them what their party’s views are on ID cards. There will be NO referendum on Europe simply because Europe’s fate has already been decided a long time ago. It cannot be dismantled, it is almost impossible even to use the opt-out clause. As an aside, Austria got bullied when the people chose a right leaning government that Brussels were not happy with. I repeat THERE WILL BE NO REFERENDUM ON EUROPE.

Cameron must have been perspiring for weeks when in a moment of madness he promised his party would offer the people a referendum, the condition being that by the General Election Poland had not accepted the EU constitution (Lisbon Treaty), lucky for him they did. Neither party have answers to our immigration problems, that ruling has already been decided in Brussels, but they won’t tell you that.

Perhaps in the future the BBC can do a TV series on our past corrupt politicians ‘Where are they now?’
