There are some things that are irrebuttable facts ⁽¹⁾.

Many of these are scientific expressions and equations which are universally accepted and cannot be disproved. Others relate to mathematics, but very few actually relate to nature. Therefore many myths exist regarding our very planet and the evolution of its inhabitants.

Before I go on I will point out that we only know what we have been told or have read. Accordingly people who are not well read know vastly less than those who are. That is of course if what has been read is fact or fiction. I have a theory that the declining use of the written word has diminished the power of reason for a large percentage of the population. Add to this that much of what is read is in the press media, which is mostly based on fiction, innuendo and downright lies, then we are in serious trouble. I have noticed lately that most of the articles here on the GA are intelligent, well reasoned and well researched. Compare this to the rhetoric elsewhere and you will get my point.

Now back to the point in question. We have all read the truly excellent Out of Africa. Reversing the Myth

I for one have never believed that we Europeans have any relationship with Africans whatsoever. In my mind and that of all free thinkers the whole concept is a myth.

To suggest that the Aboriginal Australians came out of Africa is also a myth. There are no similar people whatsoever anywhere else on the planet, not even remotely so, but when you offer this in an argument you are shouted down. Australia also has many animal types that do not occur anywhere else. Although there is some evidence that marsupials originated in China, they are just as likely to have migrated there from Australia as the opposite.

The only similarity between native Australians and native sub-Saharan Africans is that if left to their own devices evolve very slowly.

Other famous myths are the now forgotten Acid Rain confidence trick, the declining Cod stock, which has just moved to different breeding grounds, and more lately BSE which was going to kill millions, but has only claimed a few hundred, most of whom had undergone tonsil and appendix surgery. Most farmers have their own suspicions as to the cause of this disease in cattle, just ask one.

The lack of learning and general intelligence leads to the growth of myths. Robin Hood was nothing more than a common thief and a robber, who lived a Fagin like existence.

Crop circles occur almost exclusively in Britain. Even though a small group of artisans have admitted that they are responsible, this myth is still maintained.

Another major myth is that we are all able to be educated to a high degree. A whole new higher education system has been created to give everyone the right to wealth. This is a complete farce. Most of these new places are taken by those who do not even possess basic numeracy or grammatical skills, and will never achieve anything of their own volition, even though our politicians know this full well. This is a socialist myth that we have been force fed for decades.

There is a whole generation of young adults out there, who are completely unable or unwilling to support themselves, but this is not a myth, it is an irrebuttable fact, and it is deliberate.

Many who are anti British National Party will not debate because they know that their stance is fragile. Their arguments are based on myths and downright lies designed to create fear. The pure intransigence of others is a sure indication that they do not realise that they are wrong, because most of them belong to that lost generation that I just mentioned.

I have always had an analytical mind because it has been the only way that I could ever understand anything. I never take anything for granted unless I can prove it to myself.

The rubbish that we are daily subjected to never adds up in my mind, and I am sure that I am not alone in this.
