Whatever Next?
According to a Daily Mail report today, “Most Britons are direct descendants of farmers who left modern day Iraq and Syria 10,000 years ago, a new study has shown”. This study by Leicester University using data from just 200 male subjects in the Leicester area concluded that, “After studying the DNA of more than 2,000 men, researchers say they have compelling evidence that four out of five white Europeans can trace their roots to the Near East”, and that,” 80 per cent of European men shared the same Y chromosome mutation and after analysing how the mutation was distributed across Europe”. It goes on to say that these ancient migrants seduced the local hunter gatherer women. What utter tosh. If they did in fact make that massive journey the would have raped and pillaged on the way, as many still do today. Well there are many points here that we could discuss. Firstly how can anyone seriously rely on data from such a small sample, and secondly just what on earth are the publishers of this data attempting to prove? Add to this the fact that the area in which the study was conducted has an astronomically high proportion of modern immigrants from the very same part of the world in discussion. Another load of multicultural cr*p I say, not worth the paper it is printed on or the money that the taxpayer has had to stump up for it. Lastly who commissioned it, and why? The DM article can be read here.
