Lies told often enough - an update

Another of the lies told about immigration, which I omitted to mention in my earlier post, is that Britain, needs immigrants to pay the pensions of the growing number of pensioners in our country. This lie is repeated again today on the BBC's News Magazine pages. This is a lie we will hear repeated very frequently, because the liars government clearly think they are onto a winner with that claim.
This lie, of course, assumes that: A) immigrants have discovered the secret of eternal youth, or B) that most immigrants will return to their country of origin when they retire. Experience shows us that neither is true. The truth is that immigrants age just like the rest of us, and they plan to retire in Britain and claim the British pensions which, under current legislation, they are fully entitled to.
In the long term immigration amounts to the importation of pensioners as each immigrant is a a potential future pensioner who whom our grandchildren will have to pay. Far from solving the pensions crisis, immigration is adding to it. To claim otherwise is not only a lie, it s a deeply dangerous and irresponsible lie.
