Good Luck to Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin, [former Vice-Presidential runner and Governor for Alaska until she retired in 2009], gave an enthusiatic key note speech yesterday to a gathering of cheering "tea party" activists, where she said "America is ripe for another revolution".

She was talking about a real change "from the people up", and a government "of the people and for the people" just like it was meant to be. She said politics had to be more honest and with politicians who were honest enough to say if they didn't have all the answers because it's okay to trust in our devine creator.

She said it just like it was meant to be as she talked about bringing civility back into politics as she noted some "blue dog democrats are peeking into the tent here because they're scared they get left behind" by the roll of people power which is sweeping America. People who want to "save" their country.

As I listened to her speech I became more aware how much of what she was saying is what we are saying.

So much so, that her speech could have been made here in any city by our very own Nick Griffin. So close was her message to ours. Yes, to save our country, yes to a government for the people, yes to be honest and say I don't know but I'll ask, and yes think country, and security, and yes to our American British way of life.

In a final question and answer session she said she didn't care what the media said about her, her only cause, "which I will die and fight for", is for the people of America. She sounded like I sound. She spoke for me in the same way Nick does and she said everything I would want my government to be. She was flawless in her lines, typical in her all American Mom approach, and I'm really glad I watched her speak.

I haven't really bothered watching this lady speak at all as I've been too involved in looking at my own country. But I have to say her speech did it for me. Plain speaking, good honest thinking, and a gutsy approach which if she were to deliver a head full of policies, she would at least move the Tea Party attendees who were giving her multiple standing ovations, waving flags, and calling for Palin to take a run at the Presidency without hearing any policies at all.

Of course politics wouldn't be the same if it had no opposites but it's not my purpose to shout this lady down when she delivered such a good message. I do believe in Sarah Palin and I do see she understands that the Tea Party Convention faces much the same kind of problem with its opponents as any other political counterweight would when running against what she described as the "Liberal elite".

Where have I heard that before I thought?

But there was more. She indicated the opposition painted them as extremists "because they want a government that serves the American people", and that some were calling on a race card because the American people have problems with the masses of immigration entering their country which placed more needs on the state, took away jobs, and posed the prospect of a greater security risk.

Does this also sound familiar?

I do hope America is truly beginning to wake up to demand the real changes it and we need, and I'd like to see and hear more of Sarah Palin and others, "speaking out and shouting our for the people", as Sarah puts it.

I truly feel she may well have breathed a breath of fresh air into American politics last night whether or not she runs for the presidency, and whether or not she has the answers or the capability, I'll be clapping for her because what actually matters most is what she said.

She is right, honest and true, and no one can deny, just as she said; that "Government is for the people".

Good luck to Sarah Palin
