Not something I would have expected to see. One minute Alistair is doing his damndest to stop Marr from revealing the plot of his latest best seller work of fiction and the next minute the words have stopped. The cameras focus on Campbell, sitting in his seat, utterly silent, lost or words.

For one glorious moment I thought he was about to have a John Nott moment and stomp out of the studio. Alas No, he rebooted after thirty seconds and went on with more of the lies and spin he was paid to peddle.

And the reason for his silence ? Marr brings up the touchy possibility that this work of fiction is not the first work o fiction he has penned. The dodgy dossier being his first masterpiece.

Campbell puts on a show of indignation and the show picks up momentum again. And the pro-Labour production team breathe a sigh of relief.

But we.of course know the truth. Blair is a liar and a war criminal and nothing Campbell can say to spin the truth upon its head will change that.

I don't have the facilities to grab the show off Iplayer and stuff it up on youtube. But if anyone can, or has, a link in the comments to Campbell's half minute of silence would be welcome.
