The Quilliam foundation set up by so called "ex-muslim extremists" to combat current muslim extremism in the UK is clearly failing in its task. No wonder when you think that muslim extremism is a cancer that needs the strongest of medicines to defeat. The happy, trippy, balloon wearing rainbow people of the Quilliam foundation  have no bloody chance, although I suspect, like most of us here, that it is just another government front designed to persuade us that “they” are serious about combating Islamic extremism (is there any other sort?).

In their press release today “Quilliam calls on Muslim organizations to reject jihadism” they effectively admit defeat, although at first reading it might suggest that they are “winning the war”.

Go on, read it anyway. It'll give you a laugh.

Their problem you see in this case is the engineer-cum-cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki. (Got to become Al-Wanki)

Al-Wanki is described as “a firebrand preacher” who has been linked to two 9/11 plane hijackers and Major Nidal Hassan — who opened fire on and killed 13 American soldiers in Fort Hood last week — "has had support among major British Muslim organizations.”

He has been a popular preacher in major British mosques and events and in some quarters still seems to be held in awe. Much like Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda ideologue Zawahiri, who lack formal Islamic scholarly qualifications, Awlaki’s main qualification is a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. Despite this, he is perhaps the most influential jihadist ideologue preaching in English today.

And now for the “good” news (Quilliam style):

In recent days, two major British Muslim organizations, Jamiat Ihya Minhaj al-Sunnah (JIMAS) and the Islamic Society of Britain (ISB), have had the honesty and courage to admit they hosted Awlaki in the past but now condemn his views. The step taken by these two organizations is representative of the positive shifts and intellectual journeys many young British Muslims are making. Quilliam supports their candour and conviction.

OK, two organisations have decided to condemn his views. Under pressure I assume as there is no spontaneity about their action.

But, and it’s a big but .... there's more:

Organizations active in the UK which have previously hosted Awlaki or helped to distribute his material include:

Islamic Forum of Europe (IFE)
London Muslim Centre
Islam Channel
The Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS)
Muslim Association of Britain (MAB)
Cordoba Foundation

These activist bodies’ stubborn refusal to publically condemn Awlaki and distance themselves from his jihadist views risks sending a signal of support to Awlaki and his extremist followers, and a message of hostility towards our country, armed forces and American allies. Past association can only be nullified by public disassociation.

Quilliam calls on these organizations to jettison Islamism, the precursor to jihadism. Rejecting Awlaki’s message of hatred, violence and separatism is an opportune moment to take this crucial positive step.

Oh dear. They can't control their own any more and make us believe in moderate islam.

Real islam obviously thinks the time is near when they can thow off their cloaks and reveal themselves for who they really are. The Quilliam foundation and the likes of Lucy James have told just a few too many lies.

First off, lets get these organisations in the public domain. I'll get links and spread them around. People need to know this. They won't do anything of course, but they must NEVER be allowed to say "we did not know".

Secondly, the ONLY people who can protect Britain from these threats, is people like us, the real British.
