Peter Davidson, Knowsley Housing Trust
Now I like the Gwent BNP Organiser, he is a fine fellow and a superb activist but he does do one thing that winds me up. He will insist on sending me links to stories that always involve doing a bit of research.
And today is no different - he has done it again and now after a couple of hours of digging about, I can write the article.
This is the link to Inside Housing, that my kinsman send me and as you can see it contains the following text:
We operate in an area with a very low BME population, but are very keen to increase the number of BME tenants. We currently have a target of 3.2% lettings to BME applicants, which is higher than both the BME population of the borough and the %of BME applicants on our waiting list. As a result, we are struggling to achieve our target. Can anyone advise on how we could set meaningful but stretching targets, and what measures anyone in similar circumstances has done to increase numbers of applicants from BME communities. Thanks Peter
Now read the comments beneath the question that was posted by Peter Davidson. Some appear to have been deleted because when one person says that this request seems to imply positive discrimination against the incumbent population he is accused of being a racist.
So who is this Peter Davidson? Could he be the same Peter Davidson who is the Operational Director at the fortress like Knowsley Housing Trust, that now manages 13,500 former council houses in Knowsley?
Well if you visit the KHT website you will see they like to use the word "vibrant" and "dynamic" so I guess it must be the same guy.
Now I have a question for you guys. What makes a man like Peter Davidson tick?
Surely his priority should be looking after the existing tenants(who have lots of complaints) and housing local homeless people. Are there true British People being kept waiting for a home whilst houses stand empty in the hope that Peter finds a Black/Ethnic/Minority(BME) to live in them?
Happy now Gwent Organiser?
