Planning a visit to Mo(hammed) Chaudry's Waterworld?
Plenty of Room on Moslem Day
In a previous article, we looked in depth at an interview given by Mohammed "Call me Mo" Chaudry, the Pakistani immigrant owner of Waterworld, which bills itself as the UK's No 1 Aqua Park.
In the article, it was pointed out that the moslem owner of the site discriminates against non moslems and all women by having male moslem only days.
Well that was enough to wet my appetite about the place and so I decided to check out the much respected Trip Advisor site where visitors to hotels, attractions, etc get to rate those places.
Well you know I am not going to write anything positive about Waterworld, so what if I just post some clippings from some of the reviews.
We will start off in fairness with a comment left by one of the managers of Waterworld

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Kelly one of the managers at Waterworld and having only realised the importance of tripadvisor yesterday during a training day, I have took over managing our trip advisor account today. I am shocked at our negative reviews and wish that I had been aware of the problems encountered so that we could of found a solution to them immediatley. Waterworld aims to provide outstanding customer service and surpass any competitors in the same field to achieve this. The WaterWorld team is totally customer focused and aims to promote customer excellence at all times.
Oh dear. That does not sound good. Just what are we going to find in all the reviews that you can read in full here. Here are some samples.

Myself and my 3 children, 14,11 & 4 got changed in a disgustingly grotty 'family' changing room and entered the pool area. It was literally human sardines. Every inch of the poolside was filled with queues for slides, food, drinks and toilets. My 4 year old needed the toilet so we queued for this and on entering the ladies were greeted by the smell of urine.

This place is an absolute joke. Overpriced, over-rated, overcrowded I could be here all day so ill try to keep it as short as I can. We waited 20 minutes to get a locker due to the amount of people that had been let in. The changing rooms stunk of Urine (When you could eventually get a cubicle) Floor was dirty, walls where dirty. Once in the pool you could see to the extent of how overcrowded it was in there. The walls of the pool areas where lined with green mould in more than a couple of places, the floor was barely visible due to the dirty colour of the water and when I seen the ques for the slides Id had enough (The ques where that big they took up space in the pools as there was no room left on the side) Didnt use the showers as they looked absoultely filthy and disgusting.Dont Go. Pay the extra £5 and Go to the Alton Towers Waterpark instead.

The pool is surrounded by fast food restaurants and the smell of stale oil is sickening.

I took my children and I am surprised they didn't contract some nasty illness. The changing room smelled like a sewer, there was litter everywhere, the staff were rude and unhelpful and it cost over twenty five pounds for myself and 2 young children.

Railings are rusty, tiles are cracked and the jacuzzi nearest the rapids isnt even warm any more, Water world is very very loud and after 3 hours i couldnt here myself think, i found this quite worrying and dangerous as the lifeguards we more interested in chatting than life guarding.
Fisty
My advise is if you find yourself in Stoke and it is raining and you really can't find anything else to do and the kids are bored, then go and buy them a snakes and ladders but whatever you do, do not go to this complete waste of time.

Not a nice experience at all. The whole place is filthy, scum floating on top of water, rusty rails, broken and cracked fllor tiles and sharp corners of broken tiles on steps. Place was packed out with 13-17 yrd olds who were fairly rowdy and pushy. Most rides meant queue for 30 min and were pretty poor. And to top it all the changing rooms and lockers are badly in need of updating.
Absolutely shocking. AVOID!!!

Write up says Number 1 Waterpark in UK, not so sure about that, compared to Splashdown in Poole. Will not be going back. Kids disappointed with slides.

poo in the pool, do i need say any more.

when going into the pool noticed a empty bottle on the side of the pool and a wrapper of a chocolate bar in the wave pool!!
Waterworld never used to be like this a couple of years ago but seemed very dim and dirty the rapids were over crowed letting far to many people in a one time and the pool in the middle of the rapids was empty and very very dirty with bits of rubbish in there!!
Well I could go on but I think I have made my point. By all accounts, since Chaudry took the place over, Waterworld has gone down hill quicker than a bottle of cider goes down your average UAF members neck.
